As someone who lives as both educator and parent, and who knows this work as researcher and teacher, mother and leader, teacher educator and advisor, Debbie is passionate about helping others see the power of parent engagement and the monumental impact it can have on a child’s education, a parent’s role in their child’s life, and a teacher’s role in the life of a family. Debbie speaks about dismantling the marginalization of parents in relation to the school landscape and about empowering students, teachers, and parents to collaborate in a way that’s meaningful and impactful for all.
